Role overview

HeavenHR is looking for a seasoned, execution-focused Head of Operations to help shape and run the growth of its SaaS business in HR software with integrated payroll. In this position, you will design processes that can scale, build efficient operating structures, and take ownership of both team development and day-to-day operations. You will act as a strategic driver, coordinate across product development, and make sure the company is set up to grow quickly, reliably, and sustainably. The goal of the role is to operationally structure the startup so it can scale effectively.

The company’s all-in-one HR and payroll SaaS platform supports a wide range of people-management tasks, from leave administration to time tracking. More than 1,300 companies across the DACH region already use the solution. The business is backed by experienced business angels, including founders of Auto1 and McMakler, as well as international investors such as Target Global and Piton Capital.

Role details

Location: Berlin, Berlin, Germany

Work mode: On-site

Employment: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Earliest start: 01.08.2025

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a high-performing operations team.
  • Set up and roll out processes that can scale across sales, customer success, and support.
  • Take an active role in sales work, including customer acquisition and closing contracts.
  • Create and execute marketing initiatives aimed at generating leads.
  • Support the successful launch and continued development of the SaaS product.
  • Track key metrics regularly, including revenue, customer satisfaction, churn, and customer acquisition cost.
  • Own operational budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate and improve collaboration with product development and IT.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships and alliances.

Requirements

  • A completed apprenticeship or degree, ideally in business, commerce, or a related field; motivated career changers are also welcome.
  • Experience building or scaling SaaS startups, preferably in HR or payroll.
  • A hands-on approach and the ability to establish operational structures directly.
  • Strong assertiveness, persuasive communication, and perseverance.
  • Comfort with technology and an interest in HR and people operations.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English.
  • Ability to develop and implement marketing strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills, a data-driven mindset, and confidence working with KPIs.
