Head of Operations

About the Role

We are actively searching for an experienced and strategic Head of Operations to direct and manage all operational activities within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting operational strategies, enhancing processes, boosting efficiency, and overseeing cross-departmental teams to maintain operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement operational strategies that reflect the company’s vision and growth objectives.
• Supervise daily operational activities ensuring productivity, efficiency, and superior service delivery.
• Develop and continuously refine processes, workflows, and performance benchmarks.
• Track and analyze key operational metrics and KPIs to offer insightful reports to executive management.
• Lead initiatives focused on operational excellence, including process optimization, automation, and cost reduction.
• Work closely with departmental heads to align operations with business goals and customer needs.
• Manage resource allocation, budgeting, workforce planning, and forecasting accurately.
• Assess operational risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring uninterrupted business functions.
• Guide organizational change management, transformation projects, and continuous improvements.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and quality controls.
• Mentor managers and teams to cultivate accountability and high-performance cultures.
• Support strategic planning efforts, expansion projects, and explore new business opportunities.
• Prepare detailed reports and operational reviews for senior leadership and stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in operations management, business management, supply chain, logistics, or similar leadership roles.
• In-depth knowledge of operational strategy, process improvements, and performance management.
• Proven capability to lead cross-functional teams and large operational units.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with sound decision-making.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasting, resource planning, and measuring performance.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, business analytics, and operational reporting tools.
• Ability to excel in a fast-changing, growth-driven environment.
• Commercially astute with strong strategic insight.
• Educational qualification preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering or related fields. MBA or equivalent leadership certifications are a plus.
