Head of Operations (Fixed Term Contract) - Dublin

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and result-driven Head of Operations to work alongside our General Manager, focusing on shaping and executing the operational strategy within the Irish market. This influential position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of daily business operations, fostering growth, and elevating customer experience. Reporting directly to the General Manager based in London, you will act as the primary leader at the Dublin office, championing the Freenow by Lyft vision locally and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the General Manager and other stakeholders to define the Irish market strategy, taking full responsibility for achieving operational KPIs locally.
• Oversee and assess essential performance indicators, pinpointing opportunities for improvement and deploying corrective strategies.
• Lead the Marketplace Performance team to maintain an optimal balance between supply and demand, ensuring high service standards.
• Design, implement, and enhance operational workflows to boost efficiency and effectiveness while aligning with central operations leadership for consistency.
• Build and nurture strong local partnerships with regulators, authorities, suppliers, driver groups, and partner fleets to maintain compliance and advance business objectives.
• Focus on talent acquisition and retention to guarantee the accomplishment of organizational goals.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in leadership roles managing successful teams.
• Confident and engaging communicator, able to interact comfortably with diverse audiences such as drivers and commercial partners.
• Proven project management capabilities with the ability to execute complex initiatives effectively.
• Analytically minded operator passionate about continuous improvement and utilizing artificial intelligence to drive operational performance.
• Self-driven and adaptable to the uncertainties and complexities associated with scaling technology-based marketplaces.
• Deep understanding of marketplaces powered by technology platforms.
• Preferably possessing an extensive network within the Irish market sectors.
