Head of Operations - Events & MICE

About the Role

This position is with CAMP Epic Global, a prominent player in the events and MICE industry headquartered in Gurgaon with operations across South Asia, the Middle East, and Singapore. The role is based in the Delhi NCR region and reports directly to the Director or Managing Director. It requires a seasoned leader to oversee the entire delivery spectrum of MICE and event projects, ensuring outstanding client experiences in corporate events, conferences, exhibitions, incentive travel, and brand activations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute multiple MICE and event engagements, guaranteeing delivery on time, within budget, and aligned with client requirements.
• Manage the end-to-end production process, including fabrication, staging, AV, technical setups, logistics, and vendor coordination across concurrent projects.
• Establish, implement, and monitor standard operating procedures, schedules, and stringent quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Handle project budgets, costing, and overall P&L to secure margin protection without compromising quality.
• Oversee vendor and supplier partnerships, negotiate competitive rates, and ensure compliance and service reliability.
• Serve as the principal point of contact for major clients, nurturing relationships, and promoting business retention and growth.
• Convert client briefs into coherent action plans collaboratively with creative and production teams.
• Lead new business pitches, proposals, and pricing efforts alongside business development teams.
• Manage conflict resolution and maintain client satisfaction throughout project execution.
• Coordinate the organization of meetings, incentive programs, conferences, and exhibitions, including managing group travel, venues, destinations, delegates, and associated logistics.
• Liaise with Destination Management Companies (DMCs), hotels, airlines, and venues for both domestic and international events.
• Lead, mentor, and expand the operations, production, and client servicing teams.
• Optimize resource allocation and workload management to enhance delivery capabilities.
• Promote a culture of accountability, excellence in service, and continuous process enhancements.

Candidate Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 to 15 years in the events, experiential, or MICE sectors, substantially in senior roles involving operations, production, or client servicing leadership.
• Proven expertise managing large-scale corporate events, conferences, exhibitions, and MICE projects.
• Strong operational and client-facing business acumen.
• Experience with budgeting, P&L oversight, and vendor negotiations.
• Skilled in leading cross-functional teams under demanding deadlines.
• Excellent communication, client relationship management, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Readiness for travel and on-site presence during events, including outside regular hours.
• Bachelor’s degree required; possession of an MBA or formal qualifications in events or hospitality preferred.
• Highly desirable are existing networks with corporate clients, venues, and suppliers in Delhi NCR, and experience with both domestic and international MICE programs.
• Background in reputed event or experiential agencies is an added advantage.
