  • Inform product strategies and roadmap decisions based on client needs, market insights, and business priorities.
  • Set Business Unit priorities and make cross-functional decisions that optimize customer value and commercial results.
  • Track financial and operational metrics to spot improvement areas and implement initiatives that strengthen profitability and growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong executive-level customer relationships, acting as a principal sponsor for strategic accounts and projects.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to increase market presence and deepen client relationships.
  • Ensure seamless delivery of implementations, support services, and customer success by encouraging collaboration across teams.
  • Represent the Defender Business Unit at customer engagements, industry events, conferences, and among strategic alliances.
  • Foster a culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, innovation, continuous improvement, and customer-centricity.
  • Manage the Business Unit with growing independence while engaging regularly with the CEO through business reviews and strategic planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline; MBA or equivalent leadership experience preferred.
  • Extensive leadership experience in enterprise software, justice technology, government/public sector technology, or comparable industries.
  • Proven track record managing business units, product lines, or cross-functional teams responsible for business growth and performance is highly desirable.
  • Expertise in crafting and executing business strategies balancing customer demands, operational efficiency, and fiscal goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams in agile and collaborative environments.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, profitability oversight, resource management, and operational metrics.
  • Preferred experience engaging with senior government or public sector executives to build trusted relationships.
  • Familiarity with court operations, judicial processes, or the justice sector is strongly advantageous.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making capabilities to unite diverse stakeholders behind shared objectives.
