VYLN is an innovative fashion delivery application launching soon in Bangalore, aiming to revolutionize the online apparel shopping experience. The app offers personalized features that allow users to visualize how clothing fits their body and suggests styles based on items already owned. With over 12,000 prospective users on the waitlist, VYLN is preparing to change the fashion delivery landscape in India much like how food delivery transformed in 2020.
Role Overview
The Head of Operations and Inventory will be responsible for building and managing the entire order fulfillment pipeline – from the moment a customer places an order to delivering their purchased clothing within 60 minutes. This role includes setting up the initial warehouse including space layout, racking, and equipment installation, managing inventory thoroughly by analyzing data, tracking sales velocity, restocking decisions, and overseeing delivery partner relationships to ensure rapid and reliable service even during peak or adverse conditions. Additionally, during the early phases, the role will involve direct customer support including call handling.
Growth and Expansion
As VYLN widens its footprint to new areas of Bangalore and diversifies its product categories, this role will lead the planning and opening of additional warehouses and determine readiness for category expansion. The overall design and management of the company's supply chain and logistics processes will be the responsibility of this role.
Qualifications
- Experience between 5 to 10 years in operations or supply chain management, ideally within fast-paced industries such as quick commerce, e-commerce fulfillment, or fashion retail operations.
- Previous leadership of dark stores, fulfillment centers, or city-wide delivery operations is highly relevant.
- Proven negotiation skills with vendors, landlords, and agencies to navigate complex logistics environments effectively.
- Residency in Bangalore is required.
- Exceptional candidates who are current students pursuing their college or master's degrees may also apply but will undergo stringent evaluation.
