About the Role
A leading company specializing in mobility and fleet solutions is looking for an experienced Head of New Business to spearhead and expand a commercial team dedicated to growing SME and corporate fleet sectors across Ireland. This senior sales leadership position combines team management with hands-on business development activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team focused on acquiring new customers and retaining existing ones.
- Expand business within SME and corporate fleet leasing solutions.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of medium- and long-term business opportunities.
- Proactively generate leads via networking, outbound campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, presentations, and participation in industry events.
- Handle complex sales cycles and nurture opportunities that may unfold over lengthy timelines.
- Engage and build relationships with senior-level stakeholders, including CEOs and business owners.
- Oversee tender processes and the preparation of strategic commercial proposals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide an excellent customer experience.
- Maintain disciplined CRM usage and provide accurate sales reporting.
- Contribute tactically and strategically to the continued expansion of the commercial division.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrable experience in senior B2B business development or sales leadership roles.
- Proven track record in managing consultative and corporate sales cycles.
- Experience leading and inspiring high-performing sales teams.
- Commercially astute, proactive, and well-organized.
- Experienced in business development through networking, prospecting, and relationship cultivation.
- Strong verbal and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior executives.
- Background in leasing, automotive, financial services, or related industries preferred.
- Experience with tender management or formal procurement is advantageous.
