About the Role

AIG is looking for a senior leader to guide its Multinational business in Canada. This position plays a key part in shaping strategy, improving execution, and supporting profitable growth across the country. You will also be part of the Multinational North America Leadership Team and report to the Head of Multinational, North America.

What You’ll Do

  • Contribute actively to the leadership, direction, and overall performance of AIG’s Multinational business.
  • Partner with AIG Canada leadership and key stakeholders to align and execute the agreed multinational operating model and value proposition.
  • Lead Multinational Client Executives and Client Coordinators to deliver strong client service and a positive stakeholder experience.
  • Advance the multinational strategy across all general insurance lines in Canada, including the design and oversight of global fronting and multinational programs for clients and broker partners.
  • Support the growth of the multinational portfolio through pipeline management and coordinated sales, marketing, and communication plans with Product, Distribution, and Canada leadership.
  • Oversee profitable growth and service delivery for AIG Canada-produced complex global fronting business, ensuring alignment with underwriting, credit, pricing, reinsurance, and legal standards.
  • Act as a visible industry leader by building external relationships, participating in insurance events, leading workshops, speaking on panels, and producing thought leadership content such as articles and white papers.
  • Drive change in how the Canada Multinational team works, enabling end-to-end service and business support using AIG multinational and network capabilities.
  • Track and deliver key performance goals related to customer service, profitability, and expense management.
  • Promote a globally consistent client experience and contract certainty through adoption of the multinational business model and segmented value propositions.
  • Work closely with claims teams to ensure multinational claims are handled proactively and used as a competitive advantage.
  • Build a culture of integrity, accountability, and risk awareness while ensuring compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and risk ownership.
  • Create an environment where employees can develop through training, career growth, succession planning, and regular assessment of skills and development needs.
  • Support the multinational transformation agenda and own assigned deliverables for Canada’s produced multinational business, while helping resolve end-to-end process and operating model challenges.

What You’ll Need

  • At least 10 years of insurance experience with increasing responsibility, including substantial work with large client accounts and a minimum of 5 years leading a sales or service-focused team.
  • Deep knowledge of multinational insurance business.
  • A leadership style that attracts, motivates, retains, and develops high-performing teams while clearly defining and executing strategy.
  • Strong understanding of fronting and multinational insurance across multiple lines and markets, including structural, credit, reinsurance, financial, legal, and regulatory considerations.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder teams through major organizational change.
  • Excellent communication and influence skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders, clients, and broker partners.
  • Experience driving operational improvement and process change.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this role is CAD 148,000 to CAD 185,000. The position is also eligible for a bonus under the applicable incentive plan. AIG offers a competitive benefits package covering health, wellbeing, financial security, and professional development.

Work Arrangement

This is a primarily office-based role in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. AIG places strong value on in-person collaboration as part of its culture and team environment.
