Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive leader who can quickly acclimate to a dynamic e-commerce environment, build trust across cross-functional teams, and take full ownership of program management. This position requires deep understanding of complex business, technology, and operational processes, alongside designing an effective engagement strategy between Amazon and its partners. Success demands adaptability amidst ambiguity, strong judgment, sharp analytical skills, and clear, concise communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape and drive strategic initiatives, influencing both internal stakeholders and external partners to align with your vision.
- Lead vendor relationship management, including sourcing, negotiations, and contract management.
- Optimize category profitability through pricing strategies, assortment selection, and continuous business metric analysis.
- Develop and manage your team to ensure effective execution and growth.
- Engage with global teams to incorporate best practices and identify automation opportunities that enhance scalability and performance metrics such as selection, availability, and pricing.
- Own profit and loss responsibility, collaborating with vendors, operations, and advertising stakeholders to meet top and bottom line goals.
- Plan and execute deal sourcing during major sales events to maintain customer value offerings.
- Ensure high-quality content to boost conversion rates.
- Negotiate marketing funds with vendors for category promotion during regular business and event periods.
- Prepare, present, and conclude Annual Joint Business Plans (JBP) with vendors and conduct Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews (MBR/QBR) focusing on performance and continuous improvement.
Typical Day
This role centers on commercial business functions, engaging in a fast-paced e-commerce setting requiring strategic thinking and agile decision-making.
Qualifications
- At least 7 years’ experience in account management, program or project management, or procurement, with vendor management and high-level negotiation skills.
- Bachelor's degree mandatory; advanced degrees such as Master's or PhD are advantageous.
- Proven ability to drive collaboration across internal teams and manage external relationships effectively.
- Experience with scripting languages for 3+ years desirable.
