Job description
Role overview
WWF-Singapore is hiring a practical and experienced Head of People and Culture to own the organisation’s HR agenda. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position will translate people priorities into workable strategies that support a mission-led team and help build a stronger culture, capability and organisational effectiveness.
The role suits someone who enjoys being close to the day-to-day realities of the business, can build and improve HR processes, and works well with leaders in a lean environment.
Key responsibilities
- Run the complete HR lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, learning and development, employee relations, compensation and rewards, HR administration and policy work.
- Create and improve people processes, systems and ways of working that are appropriate for the organisation’s size and context.
- Work with the CEO and senior leadership on organisation structure, team performance, succession planning and culture-building.
- Guide managers through people-related issues in a practical, timely and solution-focused manner.
- Develop trust across the organisation and communicate effectively with employees, senior leaders and board-related stakeholders.
- Apply strong judgment, clear prioritisation and a hands-on style to keep several priorities moving at once.
Candidate profile
This opportunity is best suited to HR leaders with broad generalist experience who prefer active involvement over purely strategic oversight. The ideal candidate is grounded, adaptable and comfortable taking ownership in a lean team.
They should also be a strong communicator who can build credible relationships across different stakeholder groups, stay organised under pressure and handle competing demands without compromising quality or culture.
The role will appeal to professionals motivated by purpose, values and the chance to contribute meaningfully beyond financial rewards.
Why WWF-Singapore
This is a chance to support environmental conservation while leading the people function for a highly respected conservation organisation. The successful candidate will play an important part in shaping culture, strengthening leadership capability and enabling WWF Singapore to create lasting benefit for nature and society.
