Job description
About the Role
We are representing a rapidly growing SaaS company that is expanding significantly into the Middle East region and urgently requires its first dedicated Human Resources leader locally. Currently, key people decisions are being made without adequate HR support, and this role offers an opportunity to establish and lead the HR function from scratch for the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and head the HR department in the Middle East, including creating structures, processes, and building a capable team.
- Collaborate closely with country leadership and regional HR teams on people strategy, organizational design, and workforce planning.
- Manage the entire employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluation, career development, and offboarding.
- Ensure thorough compliance with local labor laws to safeguard the company during its growth phase.
- Champion a performance-driven culture by designing fair and consistent frameworks that are actively implemented.
- Address employee relations issues with sound judgment and professionalism.
- Lead compensation benchmarking efforts to maintain market competitiveness.
- Enhance the company's employer brand within Indonesia to attract top talent.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 12 years’ experience in Human Resources, with at least 3 years in senior generalist or leadership positions.
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian employment law and HR compliance requirements.
- Experience working in high-growth or scaling organizations with a focus on building HR functions rather than just maintaining them.
- Strong commercial acumen, able to align people decisions with business objectives.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions independently.
Ideal Profile
- Comfortable being the most senior HR leader in the local office and motivated by that responsibility.
- Capable of designing and implementing robust HR systems that last without frequent rework.
- Quickly builds trust among founders and leadership teams new to having an HR partner.
- Seeks a broad scope of responsibilities instead of a narrowly defined role.
Additional Information
Compensation is a competitive executive-level package. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement based in Indonesia. Applicants who may not meet every listed criterion are encouraged to apply; close matches will be supported and advised accordingly.
