We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Hospitality to oversee all catering and hospitality operations at a prestigious private family estate in County Kerry, Ireland. This exclusive estate features extensive gardens rivaling five-star resorts and grazing land, with the family residing on-site intermittently throughout the year. Your role will ensure that the estate's hospitality standards remain impeccable at all times.
Core Duties
- Lead and supervise the catering and hospitality team, including chefs, butlers, and household staff.
- Manage a serious kitchen environment, with experience preferably from Michelin-starred restaurants, luxury resorts, or elite private households.
- Curate menus based on seasonal home-grown produce in collaboration with the head gardener and land manager.
- Source premium ingredients, wines, and spirits directly from top producers rather than standard suppliers.
- Handle complex dietary requirements seamlessly and execute formal private dining events flawlessly.
- Recruit, train, and develop a highly capable hospitality team to ensure smooth operations without constant supervision.
- Uphold strict confidentiality and discretion regarding family, guest, and estate activities.
- Be prepared to be on-site during family visits and maintain flexible scheduling throughout the rest of the year.
- Travel across Europe as needed to source the finest products.
Qualifications and Requirements
- At least five years in a senior catering or food and beverage leadership position at Michelin-quality kitchens, five-star resorts, or private household settings.
- Strong, practical knowledge of wines coupled with the confidence to source top-tier selections.
- Proven success managing specialized dietary needs with sensitivity and precision.
- Demonstrable experience leading and nurturing hospitality teams.
- Expertise in seasonal cooking using fresh, estate-grown produce rather than relying solely on external suppliers.
- Discretion and trustworthiness embedded as a natural professional ethic.
- Availability to work on-site during family visits with ability to adapt schedule outside of these periods.
Additional Information
