Role overview
A rapidly expanding consumer technology company is looking for a commercially driven Head of Growth to lead the next phase of scale. The business already has a strong commercial base, an established team and leadership backing, and now needs someone to take ownership of the growth engine and accelerate customer acquisition, retention and revenue performance.
Reporting to the CMO, this is a senior, high-autonomy position with direct responsibility for trading outcomes across acquisition, conversion and unit economics. You will shape the growth function, guide a talented team, and help drive the commercial direction of a category-defining business.
Package and working arrangement
Base salary is up to £120,000, with bonus and additional benefits to be shared with shortlisted candidates. The role is based in London with a hybrid pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. This is a permanent position.
What you will be responsible for
- Leading the full paid media strategy and scaling approach across brand, mid-funnel, programmatic and newer channels, while managing channel mix, budget deployment and efficiency throughout the funnel.
- Testing, assessing and proving new acquisition sources to broaden the channel mix without compromising customer quality as investment increases.
- Creating and running a structured creative testing programme, turning performance insights and audience behaviour into effective briefs and partnering with brand and creative teams to scale successful concepts quickly.
- Owning organic search performance across technical SEO, content planning and authority-building activity, while also guiding the company’s Generative Engine Optimisation strategy so the brand performs strongly in AI-led search environments such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity.
- Taking commercial ownership of the full conversion journey, acting as the key commercial partner to Product on landing pages, onboarding improvements and checkout optimisation.
- Managing end-to-end digital revenue performance with full visibility of P&L, and defining the core measures that shape business performance.
- Building forecasting models to support investment decisions and board-level planning, and presenting clear commercial performance updates to senior stakeholders and the board.
- Leading and developing a strong growth team within a high-performance, trust-based culture.
What the company is looking for
- A strong track record of scaling a DTC, subscription or consumer tech brand through paid acquisition and conversion improvement, ideally in a Head of Growth or Head of Performance Marketing role.
- Hands-on accountability for multi-channel paid media spend and commercial results, with a solid command of unit economics and performance-driving metrics.
- Practical understanding of SEO, along with real interest in the changing world of AI search and Generative Engine Optimisation.
- Proven experience building, guiding and motivating high-performing growth or performance marketing teams.
- Excellent analytical ability combined with creative judgement, with the ability to turn data into clear commercial narratives for leadership and board audiences.
- Confidence working in an environment with a high degree of ownership and responsibility, where you are expected to set pace and standards.
