Role Overview
The Head of Global Compliance is a remote, full-time leadership role responsible for establishing, managing, and enhancing FastXE's compliance framework on a global scale. This includes oversight across digital assets, payment services, and multi-currency banking operations. Key duties entail formulating regulatory strategies, implementing policies and internal controls, and ensuring adherence to relevant AML, KYC, sanctions, data privacy, and licensing requirements across jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor and interpret evolving regulatory environments affecting digital assets and banking sectors worldwide.
- Advise product and engineering teams to ensure product designs comply with regulatory standards.
- Work in partnership with legal, risk, and operations departments to fulfill compliance commitments and manage audits.
- Lead and mentor a distributed compliance team, develop training initiatives, and oversee adoption of compliance tools and procedures such as transaction monitoring and customer due diligence.
- Engage with regulators, banking collaborators, and external advisors to maintain regulatory relationships and support FastXE's global growth.
Candidate Qualifications
- Extensive experience in compliance within global financial services, particularly in digital assets, payment systems, or banking industries, with strong command of AML, KYC, CTF, sanctions, and licensing frameworks.
- Proven expertise in designing and enforcing compliance programs, policies, and risk assessments applicable across various regions and business domains.
- Proficiency in regulatory analysis, policy crafting, and translating complex legal requirements into actionable guidance for multiple teams.
- Hands-on experience with compliance operational tools like transaction tracking, customer screening, case handling, and regulatory reporting.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in building and managing compliance teams worldwide, with emphasis on coaching, performance evaluation, and promoting ethical standards.
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities to effectively partner with legal, risk, product, engineering, operations, and external stakeholders.
- Background in fintech, payment technologies, or crypto-native enterprises and knowledge of multi-currency banking solutions is highly advantageous.
- A bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related discipline is required.
