Position Overview
This leadership role entails full P&L responsibility for the US air and ocean freight forwarding operations of an international logistics company based in Houston. The primary focus is on driving business growth across the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the US freight forwarding P&L covering both air and ocean freight, aiming to increase gross profit.
- Provide leadership to operations, sales, and station management teams nationwide.
- Develop and execute carrier procurement strategies to optimize margins.
- Recruit and build organizational structures required to scale US operations.
- Deliver regular reports on performance and sales pipeline to the board of directors.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 10 years of experience in international freight forwarding with leadership roles at regional or country levels.
- Proven track record in growing revenue and gross profit in both air and ocean freight segments.
- In-depth knowledge of NVOCC, FMC regulations, and customs house brokerage compliance.
- Strong familiarity with the US market supported by an established professional network.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary ranging from $150,000 to $180,000 per year.
- Performance-based bonus aligned with P&L targets.
