Role Overview

As the Head of Finance Business Partnering, you will lead senior-level commercial finance efforts by guiding strategy, critically assessing decisions, and enhancing business performance within a dynamic and complex setting.

Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary finance liaison to executives and senior commercial leaders.
• Convert financial figures into insightful, actionable business intelligence.
• Manage the full cycle of forecasting, budgeting, and planning.
• Deliver in-depth commercial analyses to support investment and other business decisions.
• Detect risks and opportunities, advise on trade-offs, and critically evaluate assumptions.
• Oversee detailed performance reporting including profit and loss and category-specific results.
• Improve the quality and clarity of reports for senior decision-makers.
• Drive initiatives to enhance processes and systems related to planning, reporting, and analysis.

Leadership and Team Management

• Lead and inspire a Finance Business Partnering team, providing clear guidance and setting high performance benchmarks.
• Mentor and develop finance staff to strengthen their commercial expertise.
• Foster a culture that encourages curiosity, constructive challenge, and continuous improvement.
• Encourage strong collaboration between finance, commercial, category, and operations units.

Experience and Skills Required

• Extensive senior-level experience in Finance Business Partnering, Financial Planning & Analysis, or commercial finance roles.
• Background in FMCG, Consumer Packaged Goods, product-driven, or comparably complex commercial sectors.
• Proven success with forecasting, budgeting, performance monitoring, and profit and loss administration.
• Advanced capabilities in financial modelling and scenario analysis.
• Ability to translate data into concise narratives for top executives.
• Strong influencing skills to constructively challenge senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management abilities.

Technical Proficiency

• Expertise in Excel for detailed modelling and analytical tasks.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and planning and reporting tools.
• Experience analyzing large data sets to uncover commercial insights.
