Head of Digital Platforms and AI Marketing Transformation, Director

Overview

We are looking for an innovative and strategic leader to join the Brand, Innovation, and Content team within Marketing & Content as the Digital Platforms & AI Transformation Lead. This pivotal role will oversee two critical areas: ensuring the foundational excellence of our digital platforms by promoting best practice adoption across teams, and spearheading the AI-driven transformation initiatives tailored to our marketing vertical in collaboration with technology partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, and uphold infrastructure best practices focusing on stability, scalability, security, and performance jointly with the Technology organization for marketing-owned public websites.
• Design, manage, and lead the comprehensive Vertical AI transformation strategic roadmap for the Marketing & Content division.
• Develop and guide strategies for deploying essential vertical AI tools that improve content creation, personalize customer experiences, optimize campaigns, and provide audience analytics.
• Evaluate various technological options to identify the best solutions for the organization, balancing trade-offs and opportunities.
• Manage the entire AI deployment lifecycle including integration, continual enhancement, and performance tracking.
• Create a rigorous framework to track the business impact and return on investment of AI initiatives, providing regular progress reports to executive leadership.
• Cultivate a culture that emphasizes innovation, continuous development, and cross-functional collaboration within the marketing team and broader organization.
• Make well-considered risk assessments in business decision-making, prioritizing the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup’s clients and assets by ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations and corporate policies.
• Exercise effective supervision and accountability to ensure adherence to these standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven leadership experience in digital marketing, product management, or marketing technology, ideally within a large-scale, global, and regulated environment such as financial services.
• History of leading cross-disciplinary teams and delivering complex digital transformation projects from start to finish.
• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with enterprise Content Management Systems.
• Strong grasp of contemporary web architecture, infrastructure best practices, and the evolving digital marketing technology landscape.
• Expertise in developing and executing strategies incorporating artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced analytics.
• In-depth understanding of current AI trends, especially Generative AI and its marketing applications.
• Exceptional strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear operational and technical roadmaps communicated effectively across organizational levels.
• Successful track record managing intricate projects, vendor relationships, and pilot programs in dynamic environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with skill in influencing and uniting diverse stakeholders including technology, data science, legal, and marketing.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree is required, with a Master’s degree and managerial experience preferred.

Additional Information

This senior role requires certification under the FCA and PRA Senior Managers Regime, including extensive assessments of fitness and propriety covering honesty, integrity, competence, and financial soundness. Appointment will be contingent upon regulatory approval, background checks, and annual declarations. The role reports to senior leadership, and applicants acknowledge understanding of these compliance elements upon applying.

The job offers a full-time, onsite position in Dublin with a salary range of €130,000 to €230,000 annually.
