About the Role
Join getolo to shape the future of insurance by leading the Data & Analytics department. As Head of Data & Analytics, you will be responsible for pioneering the company's data strategy, driving business value through insightful decisions, growth, and creating a competitive advantage. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will ensure data serves as a foundational asset to meet getolo's ambitious expansion objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and own a comprehensive Data & Analytics strategy focused on maximizing commercial impact and business value.
- Identify and translate promising business opportunities into actionable data initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with executives to facilitate strategic planning and foster company growth.
- Lead cross-functional strategic projects from challenge identification to successful implementation.
- Champion data as a core driver in achieving getolo's expansion goals.
- Design and prioritize Business Analytics roadmaps that emphasize business impact.
- Create coherent reporting standards, define KPIs, and instill analytics best practices.
- Enhance reporting systems continuously to boost transparency, speed, and data trustworthiness.
- Guide and coordinate embedded Business Analysts across marketing, sales, and operations without direct managerial control.
- Develop and expand a centralized Business Analytics function.
- Encourage a data-driven decision-making culture company-wide.
- Formulate analytics strategies tailored to customer acquisition and growth alongside Marketing teams.
- Improve marketing measurement capabilities, including attribution and tracking.
- Spot and act on optimization opportunities throughout the customer journey and commercial funnel.
- Partner with Marketing, Product, and Country teams to enhance growth efficiency.
- Co-drive the Data Platform vision with the Data Platform Team Lead.
- Allocate platform resources focused on business priorities and value.
- Ensure the data platform supports fast, reliable, and scalable analytics functions.
- Progressively evolve data architecture aligned with future business demands.
- Mentor the Data Platform Team Lead, fostering effective team operations.
- Serve as the primary coordinator for Analytics, Business Intelligence, and Data Platform alignment.
- Build robust collaborations across all business units.
- Create harmony between business goals, analytics efforts, and platform advancement.
- Promote an outcome-driven, practical, and execution-focused data culture.
Technical Environment
- Experience with PostgreSQL (Amazon RDS), AWS, dbt, Airflow, Airbyte, DLT, Metabase, and Excel is highly relevant.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 7 years in leadership roles within Data, Business Intelligence or Analytics.
- Deep comprehension of modern analytics frameworks and data platform architectures.
- Proven track record in establishing analytics organizations centered on business results.
- Expertise in marketing analytics, attribution techniques, and digital customer growth.
- Hands-on experience with Marketing Mix Modelling, incrementality testing, or comparable measurement methods.
- Advanced command of SQL and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Experience collaborating closely with senior executive leadership.
- Ability to translate complex business challenges into efficient and scalable analytic solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication capabilities.
- Adept at driving strategic initiatives across departments.
- Strong dedication to converting data insights into measurable business outcomes.
- Execution-oriented mindset with a bias toward prompt problem-solving and implementation.
- Capable of making pragmatic decisions even with incomplete datasets.
- Fluency in English (professional level); proficiency in German is advantageous.
