About the Role
This is a hybrid role for a Head of Corporate Development based in the Greater Chicago Area. The position offers a competitive salary range of $225,000-$275,000, plus a bonus. Comprehensive benefits are included, such as medical, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the identification, assessment, and execution of strategic acquisitions to enhance market share, technological capabilities, or product offerings.
- Oversee the intricate process of evaluating potential transactions, encompassing financial modeling, risk evaluation, and negotiation.
- Develop and implement ongoing processes, cultivate necessary skill sets, and establish a robust strategy to support the company's corporate development function amidst rapid expansion.
- Continuously monitor market dynamics, pinpoint emerging opportunities, and analyze competitor strategies to inform strategic decisions.
- Assess the advantages of prospective acquisitions and manage the process of building consensus among internal and external stakeholders.
- Evaluate potential synergies and risks associated with proposed transactions.
- Analyze the company's core strengths, weaknesses, and market standing to identify strategic avenues for growth.
- Manage equity cap tables and conduct in-depth strategic analyses concerning ownership, value contributions, and upcoming financial requirements for share retirement, buyouts, and option valuations.
- Lead a team responsible for underwriting financial deal models, conducting cross-functional due diligence, and managing cross-functional M&A integration efforts.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Business is required; an MBA with a focus on Finance or Accounting is preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in managing Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) processes and associated deliverables.
