Role Overview
The Head of COO Supply Chain Solutions is responsible for leading the global Supply Chain Solutions division within Business Platforms & Applications. This role spearheads strategic direction, operational excellence, and transformational initiatives across the comprehensive supply chain system landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a global organization in Supply Chain Solutions, ensuring exemplary performance and coordinated efforts across all regions.
- Design and implement a comprehensive supply chain technology strategy aligned with corporate priorities and digital transformation goals.
- Act as the primary IT liaison for COO and Supply Chain executives, transforming business objectives into scalable, value-adding solutions.
- Manage, modernize, and optimize the global application suite covering planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and warehouse operations.
- Drive large-scale transformation initiatives, including ERP/SAP S/4HANA deployments, standardization of processes, and harmonization of systems.
- Establish governance frameworks, standards, operational models, and best practices throughout the supply chain tech environment.
- Direct cross-functional product teams and Business IT Integrated Teams (BITs) to ensure alignment and timely project delivery.
- Oversee budget planning, resource distribution, and vendor partnerships to maximize cost-efficiency and value realization.
- Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards, data governance policies, cybersecurity measures, and regulatory compliance.
- Champion innovation, continuous process improvement, KPI tracking, and leadership development to elevate organizational performance.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in IT, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related disciplines; advanced qualifications (MBA or similar) are advantageous.
- Over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in IT, digital transformation, or supply chain technologies within complex, multinational corporations.
- Proven expertise managing global teams and directing multi-leader structures, adept at operating within matrix and cross-functional settings.
- Successful track record leading extensive transformation projects (e.g., ERP/SAP S/4HANA), including process redesign and organizational change management.
- Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end supply chain functions including planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
- Solid experience with enterprise platforms such as ERP (preferably SAP S/4HANA), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Advanced Planning Systems (APS), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and analytics tools.
- Strong grasp of enterprise architecture, system integration, data governance frameworks, and cloud-based application landscapes.
- Demonstrable leadership skills in building high-performing teams, mentoring managers, and fostering talent growth and succession planning.
- Robust commercial and operational insight, with skills in budget control, vendor management, and driving measurable business outcomes.
- Excellent communication capabilities, adept stakeholder engagement, and influence; fluency in English mandatory, additional languages are beneficial.
