Role Overview
As the Head of Compliance at Red Sea International Airport, you will lead the airport's independent monitoring and assurance functions to sustain exceptional standards in regulatory compliance, governance, and organizational activities. You'll be pivotal in ensuring all operations align with GACA regulations, ICAO standards, corporate governance, and internal protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and advance the Compliance Monitoring Programme and internal assurance processes.
- Ensure overarching adherence to aviation regulatory requirements, airport certification, and internal standards.
- Design and conduct comprehensive, risk-focused compliance audits and inspections throughout airport operations.
- Manage audit outcomes, corrective actions, and initiatives aimed at enhancing compliance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory audits and compliance reviews.
- Deliver independent compliance reports and actionable insights to the executive team.
- Instill a robust compliance-driven culture across all areas, championing transparency, accountability, and improvement.
- Develop strong collaborative relationships with regulatory bodies, business leaders, and key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Aviation, Safety, Risk Management, Business, Law, or Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years’ professional experience within aviation compliance, auditing, safety assurance, or regulatory roles.
- At least 5 years spent in a leadership position in a complex operational setting.
- Solid understanding of GACA and ICAO requirements, Safety Management Systems (SMS), compliance monitoring, and aerodrome certification.
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting audits, handling regulatory engagements, and administering corrective actions programs.
- Superior communication, stakeholder management, analytical abilities, and leadership acumen.
- High integrity, sound professional judgement, and a continuous improvement mindset.
