About the Role
Aon Ireland Limited seeks an experienced compliance professional, preferably with an insurance background, to lead compliance efforts and act as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer. Reporting to the Ireland Head of Law & Compliance, this hybrid position involves close collaboration with Aon's Commercial Risk and Health Solution Lines in Ireland, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and fostering a strong compliance culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical and commercially focused compliance advice and guidance to Commercial Risk and Health Solution Lines, exercising sound ethical judgment.
- Deliver assurance to the AIL Board on risk and regulatory matter management in line with regulatory standards.
- Produce timely compliance reports and management information for the Ireland Head of Law and Compliance, AIL Board, Senior Management, and other forums.
- Ensure punctual submission of all regulatory reports and notifications to the Central Bank of Ireland, leading the robust risk-based monitoring program and appropriately communicating findings.
- Contribute to developing and implementing the Compliance Framework and communication/training plans across Aon Ireland entities.
- Stay updated on compliance and regulatory changes, providing informed recommendations and support to colleagues.
- Address and rectify issues identified by Internal or External Audit and related bodies.
- Take responsibility for financial crime controls under PCF52, collaborating with the UK Financial Crime team.
- Support broader initiatives within Aon Ireland Solution lines and regional projects as required.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Extensive experience in the insurance sector, capable of serving in a PCF 12 role or ready for first appointment.
- Licensed Compliance Officer qualifications (LCI) or an equivalent credential.
- Strong academic credentials demonstrating analytical skills and comfort with regulatory frameworks.
- In-depth understanding of the Insurance Distribution Regulations, Central Bank of Ireland requirements, and Codes of Business Conduct.
- Familiarity with the Investment Intermediaries Act is advantageous.
- No legal qualification required; legal support available from the UK team.

Additional Information

Candidates will engage with multiple organizational levels and collaborate extensively across functions including Financial Crime, Privacy, and Legal departments.
