About the role
Lauriston Girls’ School in Melbourne is looking for a Head of Community Relations and Experience to join its executive leadership team. Reporting directly to the Principal, this position plays a key role in shaping how the School is positioned, selected and supported by its community.
The role sits within a school founded in 1901 with a long-standing commitment to girls’ education. The School’s culture is built around innovation, professionalism and care, and this appointment is intended to support a new strategic direction for the organisation.
Key focus areas
This leadership role has responsibility across admissions and enrolment, marketing and communications, advancement, alumnae relations and events. The purpose of the position is to strengthen the School’s reputation, its value proposition, enrolment interest and philanthropic engagement.
Leadership expectations
The ideal candidate will bring senior strategic leadership experience, preferably spanning the full community relations portfolio. The role requires sound judgement, the ability to set direction, and a confident approach to influencing others.
You will need strong stakeholder management capability and the confidence to build trusted relationships with executive leaders, governance groups, families, alumnae and donors. A major part of the role will be to lead, align and inspire the community relations team while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
