Job description
Role overview
This opportunity is with a fast-growing international consumer business that has built a stronger market presence and reputation in recent years. The organisation operates in a dynamic, people-focused environment and is now looking for a senior communications leader to shape and deliver its global communications direction.
What you will do
Reporting to the Director of Communications, you will design and execute an integrated communications plan that strengthens confidence and trust among employees, leaders, and external audiences across all regions. You will act as a senior advisor to the business, lead the global communications and press office activity, maintain strong media relationships, and provide guidance on major business announcements, issues, and crisis situations.
The position also carries ownership of leadership and internal communications, ensuring strong two-way communication between senior management and the wider organisation. In addition, you will work closely with the corporate affairs function so that the organisation’s narrative is consistent, credible, and aligned across markets. You will manage and support a high-performing team based in Dublin while improving collaboration between headquarters and local market teams.
What the client is looking for
The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Communications or a closely related field, along with at least 12 years of senior-level communications experience in large international consumer-focused organisations. Experience working across several markets and leading integrated communications in a complex, matrixed structure is essential.
You should bring extensive exposure to media relations, senior leadership engagement, and external stakeholder management, together with the confidence to operate at Executive and Board level as a trusted advisor. A resilient, proactive mindset, strong relationship-building ability, commercial awareness, and the ability to shape strategy into a clear and persuasive story are all important. The role calls for someone with presence, sound judgement, and a practical approach to driving communication and reputation outcomes.
Working style and context
This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who enjoys working across corporate, internal, and external communications. You will need to move quickly, adapt to shifting priorities, and work effectively across multiple markets. The position is based in Dublin and includes some travel.
Additional information
The role suits an experienced communications professional seeking a long-term challenge within an organisation known for its strong culture and ambitious growth plans.
