About the Opportunity

This is a senior commercial leadership position within a 24/7 medical assistance and emergency repatriation business that operates where healthcare and insurance overlap. The organisation supports people in urgent, complex situations around the world, working with insurers and providers to make sure the right treatment happens in the right place at the right time.

The role is very hands-on and is suited to someone who wants to grow, protect, and improve a trusted ANZ portfolio while keeping the human impact front and centre. You will report to the CEO APAC and work alongside an experienced team, with increasing responsibility as the position develops.

Key Responsibilities

  • Steer commercial results across major insurer accounts and global client relationships.
  • Set pricing direction and oversee commercial controls across core services.
  • Take decisive action on complex, high-value cases while balancing care, financial impact, and risk.
  • Improve margin performance by tightening cost management and strengthening provider economics.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospital and supplier networks to influence outcomes from start to finish.
  • Work closely with operations to refine workflows, improve service standards, and enhance client experience.
  • Remain available for escalation support in a 24/7 operating environment, even though the role is not part of the daily on-call roster.
  • Lead and support a small specialist team covering cost containment, medical evacuation/repatriation, and inbound client services across global accounts.

What You Will Bring

  • Solid commercial experience covering pricing, negotiation, contract management, and margin ownership.
  • Confidence engaging with senior insurer stakeholders in a calm, steady, and credible manner.
  • Strong judgement in live situations where decisions must be made under pressure.
  • Emotional maturity and high interpersonal awareness, with the ability to balance care outcomes and commercial needs.
  • Comfort working in regulated, high-risk environments where reputation matters.
  • A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to dig into detail and see issues through to resolution.
  • Experience in travel or medical insurance, claims or assistance services, healthcare operations, aviation or logistics, emergency response, or another complex 24/7 environment.
