About the Role and Organisation
Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, located in Steeton, England, is seeking a seasoned commercial leader to join its New Hospital Programme team. This pivotal role entails owning the overall commercial strategy, procurement, contracting, and governance for an ambitious hospital development project valued over 1 billion. The project aims to revolutionise healthcare delivery for generations to come.

Project Scope
The New Hospital Programme is among the largest healthcare infrastructure investments in the UK, part of the national NHS initiative, and involves the construction of a modern, sustainable replacement hospital at the Steeton site. Responsibilities
- Act as the senior commercial lead reporting directly to the Programme Director.
- Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with programme objectives.
- Oversee procurement processes, contract management, cost assurance, and commercial governance.
- Manage partner performance to ensure delivery excellence.
- Collaborate closely with NHS England, the Hospital 2.0 Alliance, consultants, and delivery partners.
- Balance value optimisation, risk management, and programme certainty throughout the project lifecycle.
Candidate Profile
- Experienced Commercial Directors, Commercial Managers, or Cost Management professionals from major contractors, top consultancies, or infrastructure programmes are encouraged to apply.
