Role overview

The Hoxton in Charlottenburg, Berlin is hiring a Head Housekeeper to guide the housekeeping function and help maintain the high standards that shape the guest experience. The property includes 234 rooms in different layouts, a winter garden with all-day dining, a lively lobby and bar, a terrace facing the street, and The Apartment, the brand’s meetings and events concept.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role is responsible for leading the housekeeping team, keeping guest rooms and shared areas to an exceptional standard, and making sure the team feels encouraged, backed, and trusted to perform at their best. The position also plays an important part in budget control, operational consistency, and delivering the distinctive Hoxton experience throughout the hotel.

About the brand

The Hoxton operates as a collection of open-house hotels located in neighborhoods the brand loves. Since the first hotel opened in Shoreditch, the focus has been on offering more than just a place to sleep: the aim is to combine style with value and create welcoming spaces where guests and local residents can relax, connect, and enjoy the surrounding area.

  • Contribute to the relationship and coordination with external housekeeping service partners.

Requirements

  • Prior housekeeping experience at a comparable level; experience with hotel openings is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage people while setting a strong example for the team.
  • Fluency in both German and English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • A service mindset focused on creating positive and lasting impressions for guests and colleagues.
  • Comfortable working without ego and ready to get things done collaboratively.
  • Open to new ideas, experimentation, and trying different approaches.
  • Values individuality and wants to work in an environment where people can be themselves.
  • Enjoys being part of a hardworking, supportive, and fun team.
  • Strong enthusiasm for hospitality across rooms, food and beverage, and events.
  • Personality fit for a collaborative and good-humored workplace.
