Role overview
As Head Cashier, you will help ensure a smooth front-end operation while delivering strong customer service. This position requires someone who is organized, detail-oriented and comfortable guiding a frontline team to create positive customer experiences.
Key duties
- Lead the front-end team and make sure service standards are consistently met
- Manage cashier coverage and monitor store supply usage
- Handle refunds and keep an eye on cash drawer balances
- Carry out store opening and closing routines
- Assist customers and resolve concerns in a professional manner
- Learn, explain and encourage participation in company programs and initiatives such as Pro, RPP, financing, surveys and fundraising
- Coach and support newly hired associates
- Take on other duties needed to keep store operations running efficiently
Candidate profile
- At least 1 year of retail experience
- At least 1 year of experience supervising a team
- Good problem-solving ability
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Careful attention to detail
