Job description
About the role
Triton Hearing is focused on improving hearing outcomes for people across New Zealand, helping clients experience the life-changing difference that better hearing can bring. The team works collaboratively as hearing care specialists, using innovative solutions to deliver the best possible results.
As part of Sonova, a global organisation with more than 18,000 employees across over 100 countries, you will be joining a company with a mission to transform lives through better hearing.
This position is a varied onsite role based in Ashburton and supports TeleAudiology services at the clinic from Monday to Friday. You will work closely with Tele-Audiologists to help deliver care to clients in a busy clinic environment, including hearing assessments, hearing aid fitting support, and referrals for hearing-related treatment. A strong focus of the role is also on creating a smooth client experience and keeping clinic administration running efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Support tele-audiology appointments by acting as the on-site assistant for tele-audiologists, with full training provided.
- Carry out in-house hearing aid repairs after training.
- Oversee the daily running of the clinic and keep operations organized.
- Handle reception duties and serve as the first point of contact for visitors and walk-ins.
- Manage the clinic diary and scheduling to support an efficient workflow.
- Complete administrative work such as insurance applications, government subsidy processing, and ACC claims.
- Generate reports using the CRM system to support accurate data management.
- Take part in local marketing and community engagement activities to promote clinic services.
About you
You are a people-focused professional who genuinely enjoys helping others and delivering high-quality service and care. You communicate confidently with members of the public, handle walk-in clients comfortably, and can prioritise tasks effectively as needs arise.
You are keen to build your understanding of audiology and are interested in training as a Tele Assistant. You work well independently, contribute positively in a team setting, and adapt easily to different clinic environments and team dynamics. Strong general computer skills are important for managing the role’s administrative responsibilities.
