Handyperson - Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley

Position Overview

Are you proactive in handling maintenance issues to ensure the safety and comfort of guests? We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Handyperson to join our Maintenance team at Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley. This role involves maintaining the building structure, equipment, fixtures, and fittings throughout the hotel premises.

Our resort is located 45 minutes from Sydney, situated at the Blue Mountains' foothills beside the Hawkesbury River. Spanning eight hectares of manicured gardens, Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley offers modern accommodations, distinguished dining, and extensive conference and event facilities, creating a luxurious yet convenient experience for guests.

Primary Duties

• Overseeing daily maintenance tasks to address immediate needs
• Executing small-scale projects and installations within the hotel
• Implementing a preventive maintenance schedule to ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for guests
• Identifying and initiating necessary project work throughout the property
• Adjusting work priorities flexibly, especially in response to guest requirements
• Prioritizing health and safety by adhering to guidelines and reporting incidents, hazards, or equipment faults
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in all work areas
• Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and safe operating procedures

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in general building maintenance or construction
• Experience working in a hotel environment is advantageous
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required
