About the Role
Located in the coastal town of Selsey, this premium care home provides Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care for up to 70 residents. The hairdressing position is a full-time, on-site opportunity within a supportive care environment where your work contributes directly to residents’ comfort, confidence and everyday wellbeing.
What the Role Involves
In this position, you will deliver a variety of hair services such as washing, cutting and styling, with each appointment adapted to the resident’s personal preferences. You will also help keep the salon area tidy, hygienic, safe and inviting, while maintaining a high level of professionalism throughout.
By working closely with residents and the wider care team, you will help create a positive experience that protects dignity, encourages self-esteem and supports a sense of routine and normality.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a qualified hair professional with relevant hands-on experience. The ideal candidate will communicate clearly, interact warmly and bring a thoughtful, patient and respectful approach to working with older adults. A sound understanding of hygiene standards and health and safety practices is important, along with the confidence to work independently, organise appointments and maintain a dependable, professional manner.
Pay and Benefits
- Hourly pay of £12.71
- DBS check covered by the employer
