Hair Stylist (Barber)

Role overview

This full-time spa role in Doha, Qatar involves delivering professional hair care and grooming services to hotel guests while supporting a luxury guest experience in line with brand standards.

What you will do

• Carry out hair services such as cutting, shaping, coloring, and styling.
• Wash, condition, and rinse guests’ hair as part of the service flow.
• Assess the condition and suitability of hair, skin, or nails before performing scheduled services.
• Guide guests on suitable hair, skin, or nail care and suggest aftercare routines for home use.
• Promote spa and salon offerings as well as retail products.
• Escort guests to and from treatment areas when needed.
• Prepare the workstation and treatment area with the required products, tools, and equipment to keep guests comfortable and safe.
• Clean, sanitize, and properly maintain all tools and equipment.
• Keep appointments and service timing on track throughout the day.
• Address improper guest conduct by pausing the service and escalating to a supervisor or manager.
• Maintain a valid and up-to-date license for the service area.

Additional duties and standards

• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Follow company policies, procedures, confidentiality rules, and asset protection practices.
• Maintain a neat, professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Welcome guests warmly, respond to their needs, and assist guests with disabilities when required.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues.
• Build positive working relationships and contribute to team goals.
• Follow quality standards and assurance expectations.
• Be prepared to stand, sit, or walk for long periods and handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Complete other reasonable tasks assigned by supervisors.

Preferred qualifications

A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred. At least 1 year of related work experience is required. No supervisory experience is needed. No license or certification beyond the service-area license is specified.
