Job description
Position Overview
SIS Swiss International School is looking for a part-time gymnasium teacher in the subjects Politics and Economics in the Greater Kassel area. The role begins on 01.08.2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lessons in Politics and Economics at gymnasium level.
- Design and prepare classes in line with curriculum expectations and quality standards.
- Provide both formative and summative feedback to students.
- Support students as a mentor in their personal growth and development.
- Guide learners with subject-related and educational support.
- Conduct meetings between students, parents, and teachers.
- Take part in professional development activities.
Candidate Profile
- You hold a suitable teaching qualification, such as First and Second State Examination or an equivalent credential, and already have practical classroom experience.
- You have native-level command of the language used for the advertised position (German or English) and strong knowledge of the other language.
- You are open to professional growth and bring commitment and a collaborative mindset.
- You enjoy supporting children in their development as whole personalities.
- You are enthusiastic, motivating, and creative.
