Role Overview

The Gym Receptionist role is based at Cloud 7 Hotel and Residence in AlUla, Saudi Arabia. This position is part of Kerten Hospitality, an end-to-end lifestyle hospitality company that develops distinctive destinations, stays, experiences, and communities with a strong emphasis on sustainability, operational excellence, and profitability.

The property is situated in AlUla, a major destination in north-west Saudi Arabia known for its heritage, local community, and access to key amenities. The site offers 301 secluded bungalows, food and beverage venues, coworking areas, and a fitness centre with a swimming pool, paddle/multi-purpose court, and outdoor yoga and Pilates spaces.

Key Duties

  • Welcome gym members and guests in a warm, polished, and professional manner.
  • Answer incoming calls and handle questions in a courteous and helpful way.
  • Support membership sign-ups, renewals, payment processing, and general member support.
  • Arrange bookings for fitness classes and personal training sessions.
  • Share accurate details about gym facilities, services, programmes, and membership plans.
  • Keep the front desk area neat, orderly, and inviting at all times.
  • Carry out routine administrative and reception tasks.
  • Respond quickly to member feedback, requests, and concerns to help maintain strong satisfaction levels.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day gym operations.
  • Follow gym policies and procedures to help maintain a safe and well-managed environment.
  • Oversee the presentation and cleanliness of the gym floor, changing rooms, and shared spaces.
  • Clean and sanitize gym equipment such as machines, weights, and exercise mats.
  • Perform regular checks on facilities and equipment to spot maintenance requirements.
  • Escalate repair needs, safety issues, and operational concerns to the relevant team.
  • Contribute to a positive member experience through a service-first and friendly approach.

Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate should have prior exposure to a customer-facing or service-based environment. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are important, along with familiarity with basic computer tools, including Microsoft Office. A genuine customer-service mindset, adaptability, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team are key. Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and an interest in health and fitness are also valuable.
