Role overview
This position is based at Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara in Doha, Qatar, within the broader Minor Hotels group, an international hospitality company with more than 530 properties across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, the Indian Ocean, Europe, and South America. The role focuses on delivering high-quality guest service, supporting inquiries, and maintaining a consistently excellent guest experience.
Key responsibilities
- Look ahead to guest needs and respond to questions and requests in a prompt, friendly, and attentive way.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the hotel’s offerings, including room categories, pricing, features, amenities, dining venues, spa offers, and related properties.
- Take ownership of the service standards delivered to guests and ensure interactions always reflect the highest level of professionalism.
- Handle guest satisfaction concerns responsibly and make sure follow-up actions are completed quickly and effectively.
- Use initiative to suggest practical alternatives that better meet guest expectations.
- Build strong working relationships with colleagues across all hotel departments.
- Participate in hotel functions, daily briefing sessions, and training activities to strengthen skills and performance.
Qualifications and work expectations
- A strong guest-service mindset is essential.
- Previous experience in hotel front office operations is an advantage.
- Clear communication skills are required; speaking both English and Arabic is considered a plus.
- The role requires flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office is needed; prior use of modern Property Management Systems (PMS) is preferred.
