Position Overview
We are seeking a professional and enthusiastic Guest Service Agent to join our team for the summer season from 1 October 2026 to 31 May 2027. As the first point of contact for guests, the role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, supporting the food and beverage department, and assisting guests with their queries and luggage. The job is physically active, requiring bending, lifting, and standing throughout the shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests, manage check-ins and check-outs, and handle billing procedures promptly and accurately.
- Manage reservations by processing booking requests and entering accurate information into the Property Management System.
- Prepare for group arrivals, enter rooming lists, and set up accounts for pre-payment.
- Provide assistance to other hotel departments when necessary to ensure smooth operations.
- Address customer enquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
Requirements
- Prior experience in reception, portering, or customer service is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and a sincere commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
- Flexibility to work rostered shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Well-groomed, reliable, and proactive attitude towards job responsibilities.
- Experience using Guest Centrix or comparable property management software is necessary.
Work Schedule and Compensation
This role requires a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week. The hourly wage ranges from $25 to $28 depending on experience.
