Job description
Position Overview
The Guest Arrival Expert (Bellman) role at Aloft Hotels, Abu Dhabi, involves providing exceptional support to guests to ensure their comfort and satisfaction throughout their stay. Situated at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, this full-time, non-management position involves direct guest interaction and operational support within the Rooms & Guest Services department.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage guest requests concerning special services like transportation, reservations, and laundry by coordinating arrangements or identifying suitable providers.
- Address unique guest requests with attentiveness and follow up to confirm their satisfaction.
- Offer guests detailed information about hotel amenities, nearby attractions, local events, and activities.
- Handle all guest communications including calls, messages, questions, and concerns efficiently and professionally.
- Collaborate with relevant departments such as Bellperson and Housekeeping to resolve guest issues promptly.
- Maintain shift logs and daily memorandum books by documenting essential information accurately.
- Monitor the club lounge to ensure adequate seating, high service standards, guest safety, and comfort.
- Report any accidents, unsafe conditions, or injuries to management immediately and complete required safety training and certifications.
- Adhere to company policies regarding uniform cleanliness, personal appearance, confidentiality, and asset protection.
- Greet guests warmly and anticipate their service needs, offering assistance especially to those with disabilities, while expressing genuine appreciation.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests, following telephone etiquette and preparing written reports as needed.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with team members, supporting shared goals and open communication.
- Comply fully with established quality assurance standards and expectations.
- Be physically capable of standing, sitting, or walking for extended durations, and handling objects weighing up to 10 pounds without help.
- Carry out any additional duties assigned by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum educational attainment equivalent to a high school diploma or G.E.D.
- No prior related work or supervisory experience required.
- No specific licenses or certifications mandated.
