Job description
About Visium
Visium brings together strategy, advanced AI, and hands-on experience in regulated industries to design and launch AI-first systems that change how organizations work and help them capture AI value at scale. The company blends strategic advisory, technical implementation, and product development into one operating model so solutions are not only well designed, but also adopted and scaled in the real world. Rather than building isolated pilots, Visium focuses on productized AI that delivers measurable, compounding business impact.
Role Overview
As GTM Director in Life Sciences, you will lead business development efforts and serve as the primary contact for customers, partners, new hires, and public authorities. Based in Munich, you will help shape enterprise AI and data strategies for organizations in the life sciences sector. This is a high-impact role for someone with an entrepreneurial approach, strong commercial instincts, and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders while contributing directly to digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business by identifying, approaching, and winning enterprise clients across specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology.
- Lead strategic outreach efforts such as executive networking, thought leadership activities, and targeted campaigns to create qualified opportunities.
- Assess and prioritize prospects so Visium’s AI and data strengths are aligned with each client’s commercial and operational goals.
- Run discovery discussions with C-level and senior decision-makers to understand business pain points, compliance needs, and innovation priorities in life sciences.
- Develop proposals and presentations that show how Visium can accelerate research and development, improve operations, and support better patient outcomes.
- Work closely with delivery teams to ensure projects are implemented successfully and deliver measurable results.
- Stay current on life sciences trends, including AI, data analytics, digital R&D, regulatory expectations, and the competitive landscape.
- Coach and support junior business development and client-facing team members to strengthen commercial skills and sector knowledge.
- Encourage collaboration across sales, delivery, and marketing to maximize client impact and market visibility.
- Set objectives, monitor progress, and share feedback to improve team performance.
- Keep up to date on AI and data platforms, cloud infrastructure, data engineering practices, and emerging technologies.
- Act as a trusted advisor by offering strategic guidance that helps build long-term technology partnerships.
- Partner with marketing and delivery teams to create targeted campaigns, proposals, and service offerings for platform engineering challenges.
Candidate Profile
- 6 to 8 years of experience in business development, client engagement, or strategic consulting, preferably in life sciences or specialty chemicals.
- Demonstrated success in winning enterprise clients and driving revenue in complex, regulated environments.
- Proven leadership experience, including mentoring teams and building both commercial and technical capabilities.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, especially with executive-level stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial, strategic, and strongly focused on delivering results.
- Fluent in English; German or French is an added advantage.
Benefits
- Competitive compensation package.
- Annual education budget to support continuous learning.
- Annual sports budget to encourage a healthy lifestyle.
- Flexible working culture that supports work-life balance.
- The opportunity to influence thousands of people and contribute meaningfully to company growth.
- An international, knowledgeable, and passionate team with a collaborative mindset.
