Job description
About Scelion
Scelion is rethinking how businesses approach public procurement. Rather than spending time manually hunting for tenders, checking requirements, and dealing with paperwork, companies connect their data once and the platform automates the rest. The goal is to make public procurement faster, more efficient, and genuinely usable for businesses.
As an early-stage startup, Scelion offers the chance to work directly with the founders, contribute to the company’s brand from the beginning, and make a tangible difference from day one.
Role Overview
Scelion is hiring a full-time Marketing & Growth Manager for its Greater Munich area team. The position is suited to someone who can build awareness, generate demand, and help more companies understand the value of Scelion. You will collaborate closely with the founders and sales team across the full spectrum of marketing and growth work.
What You’ll Do
- Increase brand visibility for Scelion within the German B2B market.
- Develop content for LinkedIn, the company website, email outreach, and other marketing channels.
- Support founder-led marketing efforts and thought-leadership initiatives.
- Translate complex public procurement topics into clear, compelling messages.
- Design, run, and evaluate growth experiments.
- Assist outbound campaigns through messaging, content creation, and research on target audiences.
- Contribute to case studies, customer stories, and sales enablement materials.
- Refine website copy, positioning, and overall messaging.
- Map relevant communities, events, partnerships, and channel opportunities.
- Work with sales to convert market attention into qualified opportunities.
Requirements
This role is a practical, high-ownership position for someone who likes moving quickly and building the marketing engine of an early-stage B2B SaaS startup.
- Native-level German communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Professional background in marketing, growth, content marketing, demand generation, or a comparable area.
- Strong writing ability with the skill to explain complex ideas in a simple way.
- Genuine interest in B2B, SaaS, startups, public procurement, or digital transformation.
- Ability to create structured, clear, and relevant content for business audiences.
- A hands-on approach and comfort with testing, learning, and iterating quickly.
- Strong interpersonal communication and the ability to work closely with founders and sales.
- Independent work style with a strong sense of ownership.
- Willingness to work on-site in the Greater Munich area.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in B2B SaaS marketing.
- Experience creating LinkedIn content, founder-led marketing, or thought-leadership content.
- Background in lead generation, outbound campaigns, or demand generation.
- Familiarity with public procurement, tenders, or B2B services.
- Exposure to CRM systems, marketing automation, analytics, or email tools.
- Basic design ability using tools such as Canva, Figma, or similar software.
- English fluency.
What Scelion Offers
- A competitive salary for a full-time role.
- Direct access to and collaboration with the founders.
- Significant ownership over marketing and growth from the outset.
- The chance to influence Scelion’s brand, messaging, and go-to-market direction.
- A steep learning environment spanning marketing, sales, product, and startup building.
- Work that has a direct effect on awareness, pipeline, and overall company growth.
- An on-site position in the Greater Munich area.
Who This Role Suits
- People who enjoy turning complex subjects into easy-to-understand content.
- Professionals who know how to build trust and visibility in B2B markets.
- Startup-minded candidates who want to help build something from an early stage.
- Individuals who like working closely with sales teams, customers, and founders.
- Proactive, organized people who are comfortable taking ownership.
- Candidates who want to do more than manage marketing and instead build the marketing foundation of a company.
Why Join Scelion?
Public procurement represents a large market, yet many companies still find it slow, manual, and hard to access. Scelion is building the infrastructure that helps businesses identify, understand, and respond to relevant public tenders more quickly.
As one of the company’s first marketing hires, you will do more than execute campaigns. You will help shape how Scelion communicates, builds awareness, and grows.
Work Location
This is an on-site role based in the Greater Munich Metropolitan Area.
