Company Overview

Zemo is developing next-generation software for B2B financial operations. The team is intentionally small, execution-focused, and built around rapid delivery. With the product base in place, the company is now concentrating on accelerating growth and expanding market acquisition.

Role Summary

This is the inaugural Growth Marketing Manager position at Zemo. The role sits at the meeting point of analytical outbound marketing and community-driven brand activation. It calls for a mix of technical growth execution, sharp B2B messaging, and event coordination. Success in this role is measured by the amount of qualified business opportunities added to the sales pipeline, not by general awareness alone.

Primary Focus Areas

The role is split between outbound and digital lead generation, and experiential/content marketing. Most of the effort will be directed toward building and running a consistent outbound engine, while the remaining time will go into events, content distribution, and post-event follow-up.

Outbound & Digital Lead Generation

This part of the role covers database building, campaign execution, deliverability management, and conversion improvement. The goal is to create targeted prospect lists, launch automated outreach sequences, maintain technical sending health, and improve the performance of landing pages and forms that turn traffic into demos.

Experiential & Content Marketing

You will also own audience growth for recurring community events such as Accountant Game Nights and CFO Panels. In addition, you will repurpose episodes from the company’s upcoming show, Can You Afford It?, into short-form content and LinkedIn-ready posts that are designed to generate leads. Every event attendee and content lead should be routed into the appropriate sales follow-up flow.

Requirements

  • You should bring at least 2 to 3 years of professional experience.
  • Experience in a B2B or fintech startup environment is important.
  • You need practical exposure to modern outbound and growth tools such as Clay, Apollo, Instantly, Lemlist, PhantomBuster, or similar platforms.
  • You must be able to write concise, persuasive, and business-aware B2B copy.
  • A strong analytical mindset is required, with regular attention to open rates, reply rates, and cost per qualified lead.
  • You should be able to guide freelance creatives and produce straightforward sales materials when needed.

Performance Expectations

The success of this role will be judged on qualified meetings booked, outbound campaign health, and event conversion performance. Key indicators include the number of high-quality discovery calls added to the calendar each week, email open rates targeting 60% or higher, positive reply rates, and the ability to turn event and content engagement into active opportunities.
