Job description
About the company
RefillGenie provides same-day bridge prescription refills. When patients are unable to get in touch with their regular prescriber in time, the service connects them with licensed providers who can help them access the medication they need. The company is focused on improving healthcare step by step and is always looking for additional ways to make the patient experience work better.
RefillGenie is a small, fast-moving team seeking a growth partner to help scale the business.
Values
The team is guided by patient-first care, ownership, and close collaboration.
- Patient-first mindset: The company aims to be unexpectedly helpful, offering alternatives when a refill cannot be provided and always placing the patient’s well-being ahead of short-term revenue. It wants to be a provider that says “yes” whenever possible, especially for patients who have already faced repeated rejection from the healthcare system.
- Compassion and enthusiasm: The work is treated as meaningful, and the team takes pride in delivering a fast, kind, and high-quality experience for people who may be stressed, panicked, or out of options.
- Ownership and adaptability: Team members are expected to work like founders, stay comfortable in an evolving environment, test ideas quickly, iterate often, and stay productive without relying on constant meetings.
- Tenacity: The team values scrappiness, urgency, self-direction, and creative problem-solving when challenges arise.
- Team accountability: Because the work affects patient health and safety, everyone is responsible for careful checks, raising concerns when something seems wrong, and asking for help when needed.
- Mutual support: Colleagues are expected to help one another quickly and without judgment, including stepping in to resolve pharmacy issues even when the patient is not directly their own.
Role overview
The company is hiring a practical growth marketer to take ownership of performance across paid acquisition, conversion, and new growth channels. The role includes managing Google and Meta campaigns, experimenting with additional channels, improving the website, testing offers, and building durable growth that is not solely dependent on ad spend. The broader objective is to increase customer acquisition without raising CAC.
This is an hourly, fully remote contract role for someone who is curious, persistent, comfortable with uncertainty, and enthusiastic about testing new ideas. Pay will be tied to experience.
What you will do
- Oversee and improve existing Google and Meta advertising campaigns.
- Explore, test, and expand into new paid channels such as TikTok, Reddit, sponsorships, and programmatic media when they fit the audience, budget, and goals.
- Strengthen website performance throughout the full conversion funnel.
- Create and test new paid landing pages using a clear hypothesis-led approach.
- Experiment with growth channels beyond advertising, including organic content, partnerships, affiliates, and other underused opportunities.
- Develop and maintain partner relationships where formal channel partnerships make sense.
- Plan and execute pricing and offer experiments using customer research and competitive or industry insights.
- Turn test outcomes into clear, actionable recommendations for the team.
What the company is looking for
- Hands-on experience running paid media campaigns, specifically including Google and Meta, with budget responsibility.
- Proven conversion rate optimization experience, including building and testing landing pages rather than only briefing other teams.
- Ability to work effectively without a large team or established playbook.
- A scrappy, resourceful, and self-directed working style.
- Experience in at least one of these areas: organic/content growth, affiliate or partnership programs, or pricing and offer testing.
- Strong analytical judgment, including comfort with ad platform reporting, GA4 or similar analytics tools, and spreadsheets.
- Ability to interpret data independently instead of waiting for someone else to explain it.
- Excellent written communication skills, since most collaboration happens asynchronously.
Nice to have
- Background in healthcare, telehealth, or another regulated or trust-sensitive consumer category.
- Experience with subscription or recurring revenue pricing models.
- A record of identifying a genuinely new growth channel rather than only improving an existing one.
Why this opportunity stands out
You will own growth strategy at a small startup, work directly with the founders, and have room to explore ideas that could meaningfully change the business.
