Role Summary
This role puts you in charge of managing agency supply from start to finish—finding, engaging, converting, onboarding, and activating agencies. This is a high-touch targeted lead generation role focused on a defined list of agencies. You'll initially execute outreach and onboarding hands-on, then grow a team as the process matures, reporting directly to the Head of Marketing and collaborating closely with founders and other teams. As there is no existing playbook, you will build the supply acquisition strategy from scratch.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a vetted active supply base of agencies performing real work on the platform—focusing on engagement rather than mere signups or logos.
- Control the vetting process ensuring only high-quality agencies join, maintaining brand integrity by screening rigorously and filtering volume accordingly.
- Conduct personalized, founder-level outreach to key agencies through custom communications and research, scaling later with agency newsletters, referrals, press, awards, and directories.
- Manage onboarding and activation, guiding agencies from acceptance to delivering their first brief and ensuring buyer repeat engagement.
- Track and analyze the entire supply funnel—from sourcing through active delivery—monitor retention metrics such as 90-day retention, gross merchandise value per agency, and rehire rates; use insights to inform actions.
- Rapidly test messaging, segments, and channels; discontinue underperforming tactics and scale successful ones prudently.
- Lead and grow the supply acquisition team, establishing high hiring standards as the function expands.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in growth, demand generation, partnerships, or founder-led sales, with a track record of direct supply or customer acquisition.
- Proven ability to develop acquisition strategies independently rather than merely executing existing ones.
- Skilled at high-touch, targeted outreach methods transitioning into scalable channels.
- Knowledgeable about agency operations and fluent in discussing financial and operational metrics like margin, utilization, pipeline, and payroll.
- Comprehensive expert in the full acquisition funnel including sourcing, messaging, conversion, onboarding, retention, and analytics.
- Highly analytical and data-driven with expertise in funnel metrics, cohort analysis, and making data-backed decisions.
- Comfortable working in uncertain, early-stage environments with no predefined processes.
- Good judgment and a clear perspective on preferred tools and market positioning aligned with modern SaaS marketing styles.
- Near-native English proficiency with strong understanding of North American business culture and markets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in marketplace or two-sided platform supply-side management.
- Familiarity with agency operations and culture.
- Background in B2B SaaS, AI, developer tools, or fintech sectors.
- Proficient with CRM and outbound sales tools such as Attio or HubSpot.
