Key responsibilities

  • Advise clients operating in enterprise software, AI, cloud infrastructure, SaaS, cybersecurity, data and analytics, compliance technology, developer tools, and other emerging tech areas.
  • Provide senior counsel on messaging, positioning, reputation, thought leadership, media strategy, and response to issues.
  • Plan and manage integrated communications programs across earned, owned, social, and executive communication channels.
  • Simplify complex B2B technology topics into clear business stories for the right audiences.
  • Serve as a trusted senior contact for clients and build relationships that support satisfaction, retention, and account growth.
  • Develop a strong understanding of client businesses, industries, competitors, and market forces.
  • Lead media relations efforts that generate meaningful coverage in leading business, technology, trade, and industry outlets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with journalists, analysts, influencers, and other important voices in the tech ecosystem.
  • Coach and support account teams while encouraging teamwork, creativity, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and strategic resource across the agency.
  • Contribute to team development through mentoring, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
  • Work with cross-functional teams across sectors and disciplines to deliver integrated client programs.
  • Support new business activity, including pitch planning, proposal creation, and client presentations.
  • Help drive agency growth by identifying opportunities to expand client work and introduce new capabilities.
  • Support marketing initiatives such as case studies, thought leadership content, speaking opportunities, and award submissions.
  • Build a strong network of industry contacts and stay active in relevant professional groups and events.
  • Spot and support organic growth opportunities within existing accounts.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of experience in public relations, strategic communications, or integrated communications, including substantial work in B2B technology.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Agency background is strongly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise software, AI, cloud, SaaS, cybersecurity, developer platforms, data and analytics, compliance technology, or related B2B technology categories.
  • Proven ability to lead integrated communications programs for complex technology clients.
  • Strong grasp of the B2B technology media environment, analyst landscape, and enterprise buying process.
  • Excellent writing, editing, storytelling, and presentation abilities, with comfort speaking to senior executives and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience giving executive-level client advice and handling senior stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong media relations background and the ability to develop influential industry connections.
  • Experience contributing to new business development in a competitive agency setting.
  • Interest in how AI, data, and emerging technology are changing communications and storytelling.
  • Experience mentoring and developing teammates in a collaborative agency environment.
