Role overview

The Group Tax Analyst is responsible for supporting enterprise-wide tax reporting, compliance, and risk oversight across several jurisdictions. This position is central to the preparation, review, and consolidation of current and deferred tax positions as well as tax disclosures, with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and alignment with group accounting policies and local tax rules. The role works closely with Group Finance, local markets, auditors, and external advisers, and has an important impact on financial reporting integrity, effective tax rate forecasting, and tax governance.

Group tax reporting and financial close

  • Coordinate interim and year-end group tax reporting together with Finance teams, auditors, and external advisers.
  • Develop productive relationships with finance and business stakeholders to keep reporting cycles running smoothly.
  • Represent Group Tax on reporting topics and take the lead on business partnering with the Group Financial Reporting team.
  • Contribute to effective tax rate forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis against earlier periods and plan.
  • Review and help prepare statutory tax disclosures and the notes to the financial statements.

Governance, controls, and documentation

  • Support the creation and execution of tax accounting controls within internal control frameworks.
  • Assist with evidence and documentation for internal and external audits, including tax provision workpapers, deferred tax support schedules, and uncertain tax position analyses.
  • Help develop and maintain Tax Control Framework documentation and testing.
  • Support the rollout of new tax accounting or reporting requirements across regions, including initiatives such as Pillar Two.
  • Own technical tax accounting support for Group Reporting and maintain strong working knowledge of IAS 12.

Tax risk, audits, and provisions

  • Monitor regional tax audits, disputes, and exposures.
  • Support the review and documentation of tax risks and provisions.
  • Assist in preparing uncertain tax position analyses and coordinate related matters with Group Tax.
  • Ensure audit findings are properly reflected in tax reporting and provision calculations.

Regional coordination and governance

  • Serve as the regional contact point between local markets and Group Tax.
  • Ensure group tax policies, the tax control framework, and internal guidelines are applied consistently.
  • Oversee the group tax compliance programme, including review of all jurisdictional filings.

Data, systems, and process improvement

  • Help improve tax reporting processes through standardisation, automation, and better data quality.
  • Partner with Finance and IT on ERP and reporting tools, including SAP, and support the adoption of tax technology solutions.
  • Prepare tax reporting packs, dashboards, and management presentations.

Additional support

  • Assist the Head of Tax with special projects as needed.
  • Provide support to other members of the Group Tax team on ad hoc queries, projects, and transactions.

Candidate profile

This is a permanent role within the Group Tax department.
