Job description
Role overview
This is an executive procurement leadership role with a major industrial group operating in FMCG manufacturing, covering both food and non-food lines. The position is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and follows an on-site schedule of 6 working days per week.
The opportunity is limited to professionals already living in Saudi Arabia who can either start right away or within 30 days.
Key responsibilities
- Build and execute long-term purchasing strategies for raw materials, packaging, and indirect spend across several business units.
- Oversee relationships with both local and international suppliers to strengthen supply continuity, secure competitive commercial terms, and maintain strict food safety standards.
- Lead initiatives focused on lowering costs and improving value through practical efficiency and engineering-based savings measures.
- Work closely with quality assurance, production, logistics, and finance teams to improve inventory levels, forecasting accuracy, and working capital performance.
- Guide and develop a centralized procurement team and manage performance through clear KPI-driven targets.
- Lead high-value negotiations and ensure all contracts and procurement practices align with Saudi Arabian legal requirements.
- Support procurement digital transformation by promoting the use of advanced ERP functionality and e-sourcing platforms.
Required profile
- A bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a similar discipline.
- At least 15 years of progressive procurement experience, with strong exposure to FMCG and food & beverage manufacturing.
- Solid understanding of the Saudi market, including local supplier networks, regulations, and commercial dynamics.
- Excellent command of Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
