Role overview
The Group Principal Manager, Human Nutrition APAC will take a strategic lead in developing and strengthening partnerships with key principals across the APAC region. This position works closely with regional and country commercial leaders, global stakeholders, and principal organizations to shape growth plans, uncover new commercial opportunities, and ensure alignment with Barentz’s business goals.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and own strategic relationships with assigned principals throughout APAC.
- Work with principal partners to build and deliver joint growth strategies and market expansion plans.
- Support sales growth by aligning commercial priorities with key principal relationships.
- Track market movements and customer feedback, then convert those insights into business actions and strategic plans.
- Act as the main contact for everyday principal engagement and maintain collaborative working relationships.
- Assist internal commercial teams by handling escalations and keeping communication with principals smooth and effective.
- Create and maintain relationships at multiple levels within principal organizations.
- Use market intelligence and business data to improve product portfolio decisions across the assigned markets.
- Prepare leadership updates and strategic reports that summarize principal development and business performance.
Team and reporting line
The role reports to the VP Human Nutrition APAC. It is focused on building long-term partnerships that support sustainable growth, supply reliability, and commercial success. You will join a highly collaborative APAC commercial leadership group and work across sales, marketing, supply chain, technical, and global business teams to expand market opportunities and drive growth across the region. The role also offers significant regional exposure and the chance to influence strategic business decisions while partnering with leading global ingredient manufacturers.

You should be commercially minded and strong at relationship building, with a genuine interest in creating partnerships that deliver value for all parties. The role suits someone who is comfortable discussing long-range business direction with senior leaders while also working with cross-functional teams to solve operational issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Food Science, or a related field.
- 8 to 12 years of experience in Principal Management, Product Management, Category Management, Business Development, Sales, or Marketing within ingredients, food, nutrition, or related sectors.
- Working knowledge of supply chain and inventory management.
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to identify growth opportunities and build strategic plans.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation abilities.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Well-developed organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Customer-first mindset and the ability to build trusted relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
