A leading hospitality business is seeking a Group Operations Director to guide a nationwide, multi-brand restaurant estate through an important phase of change, repositioning, and expansion. Working from a London head office, the position will have oversight of several Heads of Operations and experienced senior leadership teams across the group.
The main objective is to improve coordination, introduce clearer structure, and create a more consistent operating model across the wider organisation. The role will focus on strengthening communication, embedding better systems, and preparing the business for a more scalable future.
What you will do
- Lead operational delivery across a national restaurant portfolio made up of multiple brands.
- Support and direct several Heads of Operations along with other senior management teams.
- Establish clearer processes, governance, and accountability across the business.
- Improve efficiency and support commercial performance.
- Partner closely with ownership and senior leaders throughout an active period of transformation.
- Contribute to future acquisition activity and long-term growth strategy.
- Help develop a more integrated and scalable group-wide operations framework.
Candidate profile
- Proven senior leadership background in hospitality, ideally within restaurant group environments.
- Strong track record across both commercial and operational leadership.
- Experience managing large teams and complex organisational structures.
- Comfortable working in businesses that are changing, evolving, or being repositioned.
- Collaborative style with a low-ego, people-first approach.
- Able to introduce structure while still protecting team culture.
- Strategic thinker who remains credible and effective at an operational level.
- Experience overseeing support functions such as People, Marketing, Finance, and Property.
