About Global Fashion Group
Global Fashion Group (GFG) stands as the premier fashion and lifestyle platform across emerging markets encompassing Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Australia-New Zealand regions. With a mission to empower self-expression through fashion, GFG connects over 800 million consumers via its three e-commerce platforms: Dafiti (LATAM), ZALORA (SEA), and THE ICONIC (ANZ). These platforms uniquely blend international, local, and proprietary brands, delivering seamless shopping experiences fueled by advanced technology and extensive local expertise. GFG is publicly traded on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and commits to sustainable practices focused on people and the planet.
Team Overview
The Group Finance team, located in London, includes the crucial Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) unit, entrusted with analyzing business performance and future projections for senior leadership and boards. This team collaborates closely with regional FP&A teams in Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Australia, along with Finance, Tax, and Treasury departments across London, Luxembourg, and Germany. The increasing significance of the Group FP&A function reflects the company’s rapid growth and complexity.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead monthly and quarterly preparation of comprehensive business review reports covering profit and loss statements, cash flow, balance sheets, key performance indicators, and variance analysis aligned to budgets, forecasts, and previous periods.
- Deliver timely, accurate insights to the Group CFO and Management Board, including key value drivers, risk assessments, and accounting or cash flow impacts.
- Assist in preparing external financial results and presentations in collaboration with Financial Reporting and Investor Relations teams.
- Manage consolidation and analysis for Group-wide forecasting processes, including the Annual Budget and Mid-Term Plan.
- Develop and maintain a strategic five-year scenario financial model incorporating key business drivers; perform stress tests and ad hoc scenario analyses as required.
- Drive the exploration and application of AI and automation tools within FP&A to enhance process efficiency and analytical quality.
- Critique and validate regional data from financial and operational angles, engaging closely with regional FP&A to translate local performance into Group-level insights.
- Foster strong relationships with regional teams to encourage transparent communication and sharing of best practices.
- Lead initiatives to improve FP&A systems and processes, particularly advancing functionality within the OneStream platform in partnership with finance systems analysts.
- Contribute actively to the evolution of Group-wide Finance strategy by shaping and executing the FP&A roadmap end-to-end.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified accountant with demonstrated success within dynamic, multi-currency, publicly listed companies.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to quickly diagnose complex problems and communicate clearly to colleagues and senior executives.
- Proficient in interpreting and synthesizing large datasets efficiently.
- Experienced in constructing well-structured presentations and narratives that effectively convey insights rather than merely reporting data.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to high accuracy, especially in deliverables shared externally.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clarify complex issues.
- Advanced Excel abilities and familiarity with Enterprise Performance Management tools, preferably OneStream.
- Adaptable, able to thrive in fast-paced environments managing diverse tasks across planning and reporting cycles.
- Highly motivated and proactive, with the drive to see projects through to successful implementation.
- Adept at building strong collaborative relationships with geographically dispersed teams.
- Team player characterized by curiosity, approachability, and eagerness to support broader organizational objectives.
What We Offer
- Comprehensive exposure to the entire FP&A lifecycle, including budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, and board/investor reporting.
- An energetic and fast-growing fashion e-commerce environment focused on emerging markets.
- Opportunity to gain experience within a multinational organization with a global mindset.
- Collaboration with a diverse and international talent pool.
