Job description

Company Profile

The Talent Relations group at SIBM Pune is building a U.S.-based FinTech subsidiary with a focus on financial innovation, investment management, digital payments, enterprise finance systems, AI-enabled financial services, and digital asset infrastructure for corporate and institutional customers.

The organization’s goal is to combine technology, operational discipline, and financial expertise to create secure, scalable, and customer-focused products that deliver lasting value to clients and stakeholders.

As the business scales, the company is looking for a seasoned Group Operations Director to join its leadership team.

Role Overview

This senior leadership position will guide operational planning, business execution, organizational performance, and collaboration across functions for the company’s expanding financial services and fintech businesses. Reporting to executive leadership, the role is intended to drive operational excellence, ensure compliance, and support sustainable growth for the newly launched U.S. subsidiary.

Key Responsibilities

The Group Operations Director will be expected to supervise core operations across departments, shape and implement operating plans that support company goals, and improve overall efficiency and performance. The role also involves setting and tracking KPIs, working closely with finance, compliance, technology, investment, and HR teams, and overseeing budgeting and resource allocation.

In addition, the position calls for strengthening governance frameworks, internal controls, and operational risk management, leading strategic initiatives and transformation programs, preparing reports for senior leadership and the board, and building capable management teams through hiring, mentoring, and development.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, operations management, or a closely related discipline is required. An MBA or another advanced business qualification is preferred.

Candidates should bring at least 10 years of leadership experience in financial services, fintech, banking, investment management, or corporate operations, along with substantial exposure to operational strategy, organizational leadership, and business transformation.

Strong leadership, communication, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills are essential, as is prior experience managing cross-functional teams in a high-paced environment.

Benefits and Compensation

The compensation package includes a base salary of $180,000 to $300,000, an executive performance bonus, and a long-term incentive program.

Additional benefits include flexible remote working, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan, paid annual leave and public holidays, an executive leadership development program, support for professional development and continuing education, career growth opportunities, international business leadership exposure, and access to executive networking and global industry conferences.
