Role Overview
The Group Creative Director will lead the creative direction for Tag Singapore and act as the main force behind creative excellence across the business. This position calls for a hands-on creative leader with a strong art direction background, sharp visual judgment, and a deep commitment to detail and craft. The role involves guiding multidisciplinary teams across content, design, social, digital, production, and emerging media to create work that is culturally relevant, commercially effective, and scalable. The leader will work closely with client, growth, delivery, product, and innovation teams to ensure creative output is both ambitious and grounded in results. As a highly visible and client-facing leader, the person in this role will build trusted relationships, support talent development, and help drive business growth through strong creative leadership and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Creative leadership and quality
- Set and continuously refine a strong creative direction for Tag Singapore that keeps pace with the industry.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams while remaining actively involved in shaping and improving the work.
- Apply a rigorous art direction mindset and maintain a high standard of craft across all outputs.
- Establish clear quality expectations across content, design, social, digital, and production work.
- Ensure ideas are strategically relevant, visually compelling, and executed with precision.
- Stay engaged from concept development through final delivery wherever hands-on input is needed.
- Build a team culture where detail, creative integrity, and pride in the work matter.
- Track cultural shifts, new technologies, and emerging trends and turn them into creative opportunities.
- Work confidently across brand creative, social, retail, video production, and related creative practices.
Client partnership and strategic leadership
- Develop trusted relationships with senior client leaders across local and regional accounts.
- Turn complex business problems into creative solutions that are both inspiring and effective.
- Lead workshops, strategy discussions, and innovation sessions that generate fresh thinking.
- Present ideas and creative work clearly and persuasively.
- Work with client and growth teams to strengthen relationships and create added value.
- Serve as a senior creative advisor on Tag’s most important accounts.
Commercial growth and new business
- Take an active role in pitches, RFPs, and growth efforts with the Growth team.
- Spot opportunities to deepen and expand current client relationships.
- Help drive revenue through integrated solutions across functions.
- Shape distinct creative propositions that improve Tag’s market position.
- Represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and thought leadership forums.
Creative operations and delivery partnership
- Work closely with delivery, production, and operations teams so creative ambition is matched by strong execution.
- Create ideas that are compelling, scalable, efficient, and commercially practical.
- Contribute to the development of modern content supply chains that improve speed, consistency, and quality.
- Collaborate with product and innovation teams to introduce AI and emerging tools into workflows while protecting craft quality.
- Promote ways of working that help teams focus on producing their best output.
Talent leadership and team development
- Manage, coach, and develop Creative Directors, Associate Creative Directors, and the wider creative team.
- Encourage a culture built on craft, constructive feedback, and ongoing improvement.
- Create development plans and succession pathways for future creative leaders.
- Attract and retain ambitious creatives who care about detail and quality.
- Support an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing team environment.
- Help people do excellent work while maintaining balance and wellbeing.
Innovation and future capability
- Support the adoption of AI-enabled workflows and new creative technologies.
- Partner with Innovation Lab and Product teams to explore and implement new capabilities.
- Advance storytelling through new formats, platforms, and production methods.
- Make sure innovation strengthens, rather than replaces, craft and creative thinking.
- Contribute to shaping the future of Tag’s creative services across Singapore and the wider JAPAC region.

Experience and Skills
Required
- At least 15 years of experience in creative, content, advertising, or marketing environments
- A solid art direction background supported by a portfolio that shows outstanding craft
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary creative teams while staying closely involved in the work
- Strong passion for craft, detail, and visual storytelling, along with an appreciation for effective copywriting
- Deep knowledge of brand, content, social, digital, and integrated communications
- Confidence in presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders
- Strong commercial judgment and the ability to connect creative output to business results
- Experience working in fast-moving, complex, client-facing settings
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Preferred
- Experience working across APAC or multiple markets
- Background in content production, creative operations, or scaled content systems
- Familiarity with AI-supported creative workflows and automation
- Recognition through awards, industry visibility, or thought leadership
- Experience collaborating with delivery, production, and technology teams
